Former State Rep. Micah Neal came into this tournament prepared to play someone who he already had some pre-recorded scouting reports on, so he wasn’t thrilled to see a matchup against former State Rep. Eddie Cooper of Melbourne. (While Cooper is a crook, he’s not part of the Northwest Arkansas band of crooks.) Nevertheless, Neal’s experience with minimizing damage to his own team allowed the scrappy little 14 seed to squeak past Cooper and into the second round.
