Homemade Bacon Is Never Partisan
Democrats and Republicans agree on few things, but the awesomeness of bacon is one of them.
But homemade bacon? That’s the kind of thing that can avoid government shutdowns, end partisan bickering, and improve the economy. (At the very least, it will improve the economy more than blind loyalty to the stupidity of Art Laffer ever will.) Point being…bacon.
A Highly Ironic Email, Courtesy of Mark Martin's Office
The Secretary of State’s Office accidentally released an email that shows an employee engaging in political activity from his state computer on state time.
I know! The irony is fantastic! But the whole thing gets even better when you dig a little, as these things often do.
SD-21: Chad Neill Fined $21K For Doing Business Without License
The Arkansas Securities Department, apparently unpersuaded by the inane and meritless arguments of supporters of Chad Niell, has fined the State Senate candidate $21,000.00 for engaging in money-transfer services for three years without a license. Here is the consent order.…

The Same, But Different. And, By "Different," I Mean "Worse."
When I wrote the last post about Lt. Gov. Mark Darr and his questionable[foot]Read: illegal[/foot] mileage reimbursements, I focused only on mileage in 2012 and 2013. This was not because 2011 did not have the same improper reimbursements, however. Far…
He Makes His Livin' Off Other People's Taxes: Mark Darr Takes The Money And Runs
If there’s one thing I’ve noticed over the past four years, it’s that reimbursements and access to money for gas seem to give Arkansas politicians an absurd amount of trouble. For many, including Tea Party types who ran on “smaller government . . . more accountability“[foot]Choice…
