The last time Tim Griffin and Bud Cummins met head-to-head, Griffin prevailed with some help from then-teammate Karl Rove. Since then, Griffin has improved his game, while Cummins seems mired in the same old rut of an offense that he’s always run. Even Cummins’ attempts to borrow from the Donald Trump playbook have largely fallen flat. So it was no surprise when Griffin steamrolled Cummins yet again, advancing to the second round like everything he does against Bud Cummins is a foregone conclusion.
