This much anticipated matchup between State Rep. Laurie Rushing and her boyfriend State Rep. Ken Henderson sadly failed to live up to the pre-game hype. Rushing, never one to miss a chance to advance herself at the expense of someone else (including loved ones), took it to Henderson immediately. She also trash-talked him from the start, mocking his decision to not run for reelection in 2018. (“You asked me not to!” Henderson replied through tears.)
By the second half, the crowd was slowly filtering out even before the final buzzer. “That’s just awful,” said one fan. “He’s been crying for the last hour and she keeps yelling at him to ‘grow a pair’ and ‘get back here and take this like a man!’ It’s sad.”
Rushing will take on Sovereign Immunity in the next round.
